Craig gets excited!

It takes a lot to get Craig to show excitement. Yesterday as I was driving to Bible Study Craig calls me.
C: Have you heard Addie co...!
H: What did you say? Have I heard her cow?
C: NO! Have you heard her c...t!
H: Her cat??? Meow, yeah she good at it ( I was a little confused that he was calling me to tell me that Adelynn's meow was good)
C: NO! count- 1,2,3...
H: Yeah, she counts, she usually says 1....1....1....2
C: Well she just counted to 5!!!! I had to help her with 4 but she counted to 5.
H: Your mom and I have been working on her counting.
C: Isn't she to little to count?
H: I don't know but that's what I do during the day we work on skills.
C: Oh I just thought she was really smart to be counting at 19 months.

The end!
Anyways Craig got really excited and if you know Craig it takes a lot!

Weekend update!

Our big activity for Saturday was grocery shopping. I know you all are dying to see pictures but you're out of luck we didn't take any.
Adelynn was still sick Sunday so she didn't get to go to church- we didn't want to get anyone else sick. Even though Addie was sick she was acting like a non-sick kids (as active as ever). So we took her to the park to feed the ducks. She is really good at throwing food just ask Bailey and Sherlock :) so she is a pro at feeding ducks!

Notice Daddy holding onto Addie's pants. She really want to get in the water with the ducks!

The swans are a little mean so we had to keep Adelynn away from them. The white one went for my toe last trip.

The ducks didn't want us to go home.

Storytime at Bookmarks- at North Park Mall

Today's blog is from Adelynn's POV
KiKi came today! This made me very happy!

We go to storytime every Wednesday. We meet up with my friends B, J, L, and miss Katy!
Storytime at the mall is different then at Fretz, here they play music and do some silly songs. I also get to play an egg that rattles and with pretty scarfs...but mom never lets me play with the colorful stick that make noise :( She says I have no controll and that I'll hit someone. Before we leave we get a craft to take home.
Sometimes we have lunch and sometime I sit still for the storytime....okay I'm lying...I never sit still for the story :)

I love parachute time!!!!
I am fearless!!! Big kids don't scare me!

Mom got me pasta- but before she got the pasta in front of me I saw the fruit! So I had fruit for lunch and mom ate my pasta!

Grocery shopping

Adelynn did not want to go grocery shopping today. She would not sit in the cart, she tried to jump out a couple of times. She let everyone know that her mother was torturing her! All the workers at Tom Thumb were so nice. The workers would talk to her and try to get her to stop crying. Very Sweet. When we were in the dairy section the stock boy (man) offered Adelynn a GO-gurt. By this time I was willing to try anything. She stopped crying and signed Thank You! the stock boy thought she was blowing a kiss. Everyone was so nice and not upset that this toddler was acting like a toddler.

Adelynn continued to eat the go-gurt on the way home and the picture is what I found once I pulled into the garage- GO-GURT EVERYWHERE!!!! But the dogs were more then willing to clean her up before she got out of the car and headed straight to nap time.

Saturday at the Museum of Nature & Science

Saturday is family day. Sometimes we go swimming, or to the park but since it was like 103 out Saturday we decided an indoor activity was best for us. We went to Dallas Museum of Nature and Science. It was great! The bottom floor is just for little kids! There was so many things for Adelynn to do she didn't know where to start. She would start farming then see the water table and run over there.... then she would hear something....then off she went running to see where the noise was coming from.

Digging for Dinosaur bones!

Driving the fire truck was Addie's favorite. She returned to the truck about 1000 times! However she did not want to dress like a fire-women.

Addie picking veggies to put in her bag.

Daddy helping her put eggs in her bag to take to the "Market"

Water table- As soon as I'd get the water apron on she was ready to run somewhere else :)

Smiling Sherlock

Sherlock is our smiling dog. He reminds me of Winn-Dixie! My teacher friends will get that reference :)

Sherlock spends most of his day laying on the couch but he also has other duties at our house.

He guards our backyard from intruders- squirrels, birds and lawn guys! He carefully watches over Adelynn as she plays in the backyard until his ADD sets in and he forgets about Addie and chases a bird or anything that moves (this includes bushes).

Sherlock is also a great help in the kitchen. If I leave anything out he will let me know by making loud sounds as he tries to get whatever it is off the counter. He also helps Adelynn eat. Addie says "one bite for me, one bite for Bailey, one bite for Sherlock" When she is done eating the boys enjoy licking her and her highchair clean.
Sometimes when Sherlock looks at me with his big smile I swear I can hear him saying
"Oh, this is the life!"

Monday, Monday

Dancing with Uncle Matt- Adelynn can now say Matt!

"playing" the drums with daddy

The 4th is over and the tiredness has set in! I was busy running errands all day Thursday so I we could get on the road early Friday morning (early being 11). Adelynn danced and learned how to "play" the drums!

On Saturday we went to the Lake Kiowa parade. Let me tell you there is nothing I love more then a parade! This parade consist of golf carts decorated in red, white, and blue. The people in the parade throw out candy, beaded necklaces and toys. Adelynn learned quickly to run and pick up the candy before the kids next to us did. Then she would find Catherine who was holding the bag. She was doing a great job collecting candy and what nots until, she realized what she was picking up. She looked down, looked at me, looked down, and looked at me like "Hey I know what is this!?!?! Dr. Hamners gives these to me if I'm good." So she got the paper off and started eating it. after that the candy picking up went down hill. She would pick something up and examine it to decide if she wanted someone to open it or if it should go in the bag. We didn't get as much candy as normal.

Addie's friends B & J joined us for 4th of July fun. B & J played with Adelynn's water buckets and she played with their life vest. After an hour in the sun we came inside for lunch and some play time. While Addie was taking her nap B & J the drums and took a boat ride. We all had fun and were sad to see them head home.

"driving" the boat

Sunday morning was Doo-Dad's birthday. Doo-Dad thought it would be fun to take Addie out on the seadoos. Doo-Dad took her on a short ride. Adelynn was a good first mate!

I think Adelynn really liked having B & J to play with at the lake house. It was so much fun to have friends and family together. Great weekend and can't wait for our next trip.
