Discovery Garden and Aquarium

We have walked past the Discovery Garden tons of time but never ventured in until yesterday. The discovery garden is 6 acres of gardens with and inside butterfly garden. The butterfly garden is really cool- thousands of butterflies! Can't wait for my parents to come back so they can check it out.

After the Discovery Garden we walked next door to the Children's Aquarium to visit with our friend Caedmon and his mommy.

After our time at the museum we picked Addie from Science Camp. This weeks theme was Merry Merriment. The kids learned about musical instruments and vibration.

Science Camp and Museum

Addie had Science camp so Asher and I had extra one on one time this week. On the last day of camp Asher and I met up with friends at the Science museum.

On the last day of camp the family goes and checks out all the creations Addie and her classmates made. The theme this week was Kings & Queens.

Once again Science camp was amazing.

The Magic School Bus at the Science Musuem

Adelynn loves Ms. Frizz! We started reading and watching The Magic School Bus earlier this year and she is head over heels for Ms. Frizz and the kids. We started to see signs all over town for the MSB exhibit, and Addie pointed them ALL out to me. One day I took Addie after science camp, she was super excited!

The exhibit was about weather. This dresser had different clothing that you wear for different weather. The kiddos would have to guess what item would go with what type of weather.

American Girl

Adelynn and I went to American Girl for tea time yesterday. Last January she got a catalog in the mail and it is now in the rotation of her favorite magazines. Then a couple of weeks ago she saw an episode of Jon & Kate plus 8 where the 2 big sisters go to the American Girl store for their birthday.

She has been asking when does she get to go, KiKi and I thought it would be a great summer time activity. 

KiKi was sick so Aunt Catherine came to have tea with us.

Addie doesn't have a doll yet, mommy doesn't think she's old enough. We talked before we went about how I think 6 is a good age to get such an expensive special doll. 

When we got to tea we found out that they had loaner dolls.

 Addie took time and picked out the perfect doll and named her Cindy.

Addie and I had a fun day and we can't wait to go again with KiKi and Grandma!
