Making cupcakes!

Adelynn helped me make cupcakes for our Easter playgroup party. She was so excited to get to help. I thought she would just help dump ingredients in the bowl but she helped mix, "clean" the bowl (lick it clean), and after mommy iced them all she put decorative flags and sprinkles on all the cupcakes. She is getting to be such a big help!

"I'm ready I washed my hands! Let's get started!"

Mommy measured everything out so all Addie had to do was dump the liquids in the bowl!

Addie didn't get to lick the entire bowl (too much sugar!) so I just gave her a spoon .

After I iced the cupcakes Adelynn put Easter flags and sprinkle on all the cupcakes.

And when the decorating was done she got to ice her own cupcake and ....

put as many sprinkles as she wanted!!!!

Egg hunt #2

Sunday afternoon we headed back to church for our MOPS Easter Egg Hunt. The weather looked beautiful but the wind made it a cold hunt!

After our Egg hunt at the park Addie decided she wanted to hunt for eggs in our backyard. We had to change clothes because she had gotten orange ice cream all over her white pants. She picked out her mickey shirt- when I told her she had to wear a hat outside she picked out the Mickey ears :) With her Easter basket in hand I think it looks likes she is ready to go trick or treating!

The dogs tried to help Addie find the eggs :)

Easter Egg Hunt #1

Our first egg hunt of the season was Saturday with the Lake Highlands early PTA. It "started" at 10, but hunting didn't begin until 10:40 for Addie's age group. We played on the playground for a while then Daddy, Do-Dad, and Addie played chase (or keep Addie away from the egg field).

KiKi and Do-dad came for the fun. They celebrated their 34th anniversary at the park with us :)

All the kids lined up and ready to go!

I was on the other side of the field so I wouldn't be in the crowd- when they yelled GO! Addie ran straight to me. Great plan! No other kids were around her for a long time she didn't have to fight over eggs :)

Addie did a great job picking up eggs and not worrying about what was in them until!!!!! One egg had a picture of Mickey on the outside. It stopped her dead in her tracks. She lost a good 30 seconds just staring at this picture.

Once Adelynn's basket was full we decided she was done. Do-Dad thought we should empty her basket and let her fill it up more but Daddy and Mommy thought she had more then enough plus she has 2 more egg hunts this week!

After she was done collecting eggs we had her sit down and open each egg. She got stamps, stickers, rubber duckies, and candy in her eggs. I think daddy was hoping for more candy and less toys.

Addie had such a great time!

However I know I'm not going to enjoy picking up the eggs all over my house in the up coming days.

Is Addie ready for SpaghettiOs for lunch???

I don't think so!!!!!!!!!!!!

Snow Day

Friday it was in the 70's, Saturday it started cooling during the day and by the time we went to bed the snow had started to fall. When we woke up we had a little over an inch of snow for Adelynn to play in.

I'm loving El Nino! But I heard a rumor that we are supposed to get double the amount of tornadoes this spring and summer so ask me again in July.

Big Girl Room

Her room isn't completely done yet- her yellow sheet haven't come yet, the art work for the walls aren't up- but Addie moved in Friday night.

Reading a story before bedtime.

(this is the coolest book! My mom recorded herself reading the book so it's like my mom is reading Adelynn a story before bedtime. Addie loves it! She calls it Grandma's book)

Her first night in her bed she woke up 3 times. The second night in her bed she woke up 4 times. The past 2 night she hasn't woken up until 7 or later.

Bailey really likes her new bed. He has tried to sleep with her the last 2 nights but we make him come to our room after a couple of hours.

New Bows

Last week we got Adelynn a dozen new bows. She was so excited she wanted to share her joy with others!

Bailey gave her Kisses to say thank you!

Riding a horse

Sunday after Church we went to lunch with Do-Dad & KiKi. Addie saw this horse out front and wanted to ride it. I will let Adelynn sit on these quarter rides but I never put money in them. Well Do-dad decided that Addie should get the full experience and he put money in. She loved it! Unfortunately now she knows these ride move :(

Spring has Sprung here.

Last weeks weather was so nice. Addie got to go the park many times last week.

Trip to the zoo

Last week we had weather in the 70's so Addie was super excited to get to wear shorts and play outside! She loves to run all over the kids area at the zoo!

We tried to get a group picture but Addie wouldn't sit down with the rest of the group.

The Discovery house at the zoo usually has a nice little craft for the kids to work on. They never have glue sticks only bottles of glue. Addie didn't really do her project she just put glue all over her paper.

B & J did their art project correctly, maybe when Adelynn is there age she get the hang of following directions :)
