Christmas with the Gilmore's

My mother's love language is gifts and boy can you tell that my children are loved! Grandma and papa went a little over board but Addie was in heaven!

I don't know why Asher is crying maybe he didn't want a train?????

 Addie got a cowgirl outfit

Do you think she liked it?
We couldn't get her to change, she wore it the rest of the day!
Notice that Addie keeps adding items of clothing to her outfit- socks, red glittery shoes....

Scotty opening his gift from Rachelle
"it feels like bricks!"
 "Bricks! Really!"
with money taped to it!
 Addie's new tent

This gift was for Adelynn and Daddy.

More Mr. Potato head toys from Grandma Shellie

Asher crawling to his new box of cars

The kids got tons of goodies from the Gilmore Grandparents. I put most of Asher's away until he is bigger.
THANK YOU Grandma & Papa!

After all the presents were opened and lunch had been eaten we sang Happy Birthday to Jesus and enjoy a birthday cake that Addie and I decorated for Jesus' birthday!

Christmas- we are very blessed!

Adelynn was very excited Christmas eve for Santa to come the next day. We told her the sooner she went to bed the sooner Santa would come, so she told us she was ready for bed as soon as we got home from our Christmas eve activities.
Addie didn't wake up until 7:15 which is about 30 minutes later than normal. Asher was still sleeping and she decided to wait to open gift until he woke up- such a sweet sister;)
While we waited Adelynn worked on her navitity sticker page and told us the TRUE Christmas Story.

We like to have a our "Family Christmas" before the rest of our family comes over. Addie and Asher get 4 gifts from us each year. They get 3 gifts just like Jesus did from the Wise Men and then one gift from Santa. This year they each got a gift from Santa but in the future the gift from Santa will be a gift for the entire family. Four gifts were perfect she wasn't overwhelmed by too many toys and she was excited for each one.
A picture of Asher crawling. You can't tell by the picture but thats what he's doing :0)

Bailey ready to help Addie open her presents.

Present #1 Sequence for Kids- Sequence is one of Craig and my favorite games so I thought we'd start Addie young on this game, and she loves it!
 #2 new legos!
#3 an Olivia tea set
#4 giant Snow White coloring pages

Asher only got one from us this year a guitar. He really enjoys pushing all the buttons.

Addie and Daddy like it too!

I Tried to get a picture of the kiddos in front of the tree in their Christmas PJ's but Addie wanted to play with her new toys- Note to self- take the picture before they open their gifts ;)

Addies world

Adelynn got a camera for her birthday. I thought I'd share pictures she takes every once in a while.

I hope she gets better!

A little break for the grown-ups!

Craig and I needed a break from the kids....love them but we were really tired!
So we took a 5 day cruise.
Craig and I super excited at the thought of a entire night of uninterrupted sleep!

Breakfast on the dock in Miami

We were surprised to get a visit from one of best friends LEAH!
Leah was on the mission field with us in Europe before Craig and I were "Craig & Heather" Leah is now a missionary in South Africa, she was in town for some meetings and visiting friends before she headed home to Ohio for Christmas. We had a great time visiting with her and can't wait to she her again...
maybe in South Africa next time!

Why did the chicken cross the road?
Well if he lives in Key West it's to get key lime pie!
 Key West

Craig and I love playing trivia on the boat. We did great the first day but it went downhill after our first and only wind :( But we still had fun!

We had a great time- sleeping, reading, sleeping, playing games, sleeping, and eating. I am well rested and ready to be super mom once again! I'm already dreaming of my next vacation!

PS- Don't worry the kids were well taken care of by their grandparents. The Gilmore's had the kids for the first 3 days and then the Wilson's took them during the weekend and returned to the Gilmore's the last day. From what I hear the kids were a little spoiled. What a surprise!
I called home a couple of times and each time Adelynn was too busy to talk to me.
