Pumpkin time!

I'm not ready for Adelynn to carve pumpkins. I think it slimy and icky and you find yucky for days after you carve it, plus Addie's too young to be using a knife. So today we decorated our pumpkins with glitter! So easy and perfect for my little girl that is obsessed with everything princess!

You need glue, glitter, a paint brush and a pumpkin

Paint the pumpkin with glue.
We did this in little sections.

Than sprinkle with glitter

And your done!

Adelynn thought the pumpkin's looked like Cinderella's carriage!

The zoo with Daddy

Addie didn't have a soccer game today so we took Daddy to out favorite place the ZOO! Daddy loves going with us but he is usually at work when we go :(

I've been trying for weeks to get a good picture of the 2 kiddos......
I guess I'm going to have to keep on trying .

In the first ten minutes of our visit we ran into some of our friend! It was a great surprise. Addie was so excited to see her friend R & E. We spent the rest of the morning with them. It's always fun for the daddy's to get to hang out together with the kids. (plus us mommies got to talk more and chase kids less )

Addie and R hanging out and having a snack

I just love his smile! Whenever he sees a camera or something
that looks like a camera he stops what he's doing and smiles and
says "CHEEEEESE!"

Fun at the park

We went to William's park yesterday with some of our favorite friends. It has started to get chilly but we aren't complaining after our HOT summer! We are trying to enjoy as much time outside as we can.

Texas State Fair

We went to the fair with Do-Dad last Friday. The kids had a great time, but I think Do-Dad had the most fun!

Addie and Asher with BIG TEX

My favorite thing at the fair is the little hands farm.
It was our first stop and the kids were fresh and ready to explore!

Addie got to be apart of the Pee-Wee stampede rodeo. She looked super cute in her red cowgirl hat
A- "just like Jesse!"

Addie waving to the crowd!

After looking at the livestock and eating dinner we headed over to the games and rides.

Addie trying to decide which game to play
Do-dad got Addie and Asher tons of tickets for the rides,
he really enjoys spoiling them and they enjoy it too!

Owen's Pumpkin farm

Friday we went to Owen's Pumpkin Farm with our friends Amy, Z & T. I was hopping for something close to the farm I visited when I grew up, however this was not as awesome as Faulkners Ranch - VTA friends:( Addie and Asher loved it! But I was disappointed and am on a search for something closer to my childhood memories!

Owen's farm cost $6, which includes a visit to the "farm", goat food, a hay ride, and a little pumpkin.
It's a great deal and it's only 15 minutes from our house.

Addie and Z being flowers!
I was so excited that Z joined the picture with Addie.

Asher had to stay in the stroller while we looked at the farm animals

Amy and her kiddos feeding the overly aggressive goats!
The goat were CRAZY! They were standing on their hind legs trying to get the food. They even stole the cups from Amy and Addie's hands!

Hay ride time!

Z holding on tight!

Time to pick our pumpkins!

Asher saw all the pumpkins and started saying "Ball! Ball!"

He ran over and picked one up, and THREW IT!
Just like he does with balls, Thanks God it didn't break!

Addie trying to hold Asher's hand

I tried to get a couple of pictures of the kiddos together....
It didn't work!

We did have fun but I felt like there was a gray cloud over the adventure because I built it up so much in my head. On Tuesday I think the kids and I will drive the hour north to visit another Pumpkin Farm, hopefully it will be closer to Faulkners Farm!
