Building time with Daddy

When we went to the library on Friday Lowe's was there helping kiddos make wooden toys. Since Adelynn was about 4 years younger than all the other kids we decided to take it home so she and daddy could do it together. After all our egg hunts this morning Addie was still begging Daddy to help her put her toy together.

First they painted

After it dried and a wardrobe change they got to use a hammer!

Muffin Tin Lunches

So I'm doing my muffin tins more than on Monday's and I'm also getting a little more creative. I thought I'd share some examples and let you know that cookie cutter lunch has the cutest ideas that I steal from all the time!.

Bear themed lunch:

Very simple Tinkle Bell theme:
What is the yellow X magnet you ask? If Addie eats all of her lunch she trades the magnet for a special dessert!

The Easter Bunny came early to our house:

Random pictures of cuteness!

Another day at the zoo

Addie and Asher love the zoo and they love going even more with their friends JJ, B, & L.

 How cute are these kiddos!

Playing in the garden

Addie is in love with Daisies this month so when it was time to plant new flowers in our front yard she picked pink daisies!
Asher watched and snacked as Addie and I worked.

The finished pot. She did a great job....but I did have to go back and help them out a little....don't tell her, she thinks she planted them all by her self ;)

Easter Egg Hunts!

We were very busy today with 2 Easter Egg Hunts. First we headed to Goer Park to meet up with the Easter Bunny and find some eggs!

SMU is celebrating their 100th year. Addie and Asher got balloons and Mustang beanie babies from the SMU cheerleaders.

If there is a bounce house we must bounce!

This is a very popular egg hunting grounds!

Our attempt at a picture of Asher and Adelynn.
Asher was so excited to be out of the stroller he wanted to explore not take pictures :)

Egg hunt #2 was in Lake Highlands- our neck of the woods.

Playing at the park waiting for the hunt to begin.

Asher group went first. I sat him down in the middle of the baby field and he picked up an egg and then handed it to me.....

then he'd crawl over to another area and would pick up another egg.

He even found a princess egg for his sister!

Asher got about 10 eggs for his basket!

Addie getting ready for her hunt to begin!

Adelynn got about 40 eggs at this hunt!
The eggs were filled with candy, sticker, toys, and play dough! I think I even saw some eggs with band-aid in them- Adelynn would have loved those eggs!

The kids have one more egg hunt tomorrow!

Dying eggs

 Addie with her dye kit.
I had to convince her that this was better than the Disney princess which cost more and didn't come with any stickers.

All our supplies ready for our art project. Using a muffin tin to hold the cups so they didn't tip over plus it caught any of the liquid that spilled. This project wasn't as messy as I thought it would be.

 Addie ready to go!

Addie had so much fun Friday dying eggs that we did more on Saturday. Today we explored color combinations. Her favorite combination was red and purple.

I was really nervous about Addie dying eggs. I could just see her fingers dyed for days and my kitchen stained for ever! BUT using a table clothe and muffin tin helped to contain the mess and Addie's fingers are almost back to normal, and we now have a cute centerpiece for our kitchen table!
