Baking with mommy

Since blueberries were 50% at Tom Thumb I decided to bake some blueberry muffins. Adelynn helped me by putting the measured flour and sugar in the bowl. She picked up the egg and crushed it in her hand, after that I decided she was done helping me bake. But she started to cry "I bake! I bake!" So I put Addie in her chair and gave her 1/4 cup of flour, red sprinkles, 2 measuring cups and a big bowl and let her go to town.
She had just gotten out of a bath and the flour was sticking to her hair.

Showing us her baking tools.

I know this picture is a little blurry but can you see all the flour on her PJ'S!?!?! Needless to say she got another bath :)

Painting

You would think after running around the zoo for almost 2 hours Adelynn would take a nap....NOPE! She had other plans. She wanted to play with play dough but I thought finger painting would be more fun.... and it was!

The zoo

Another trip to the zoo! I know you all must think we go to the zoo everyday but we don't we go about once a week....sometimes more :)
We met up with our good friends Katy, Amy and their kids. Addie rode in her stroller for about 20 minutes and then ran the rest of the trip. Next time we go with Craig we will try going without a stroller.

Addie was so excited to see her friend B & JJ when we strolled into the zoo!

Three of my favorite kids playing in the big birds nest

Playing with puzzles in the discovery house.

Working on the craft outside the Discovery house

Addie usually works with glue sticks. NOT today they had a big bottle of glue waiting for her :) She was very excited about this.

Some kids use glue for crafts---Addie uses glue for nail polish :)

Future teachers- they take after their moms.

JJ, B, and Addie playing with the blocks next to the discovery house. Addie is getting to an age where she is now playing with other kids. It's so much fun to watch. Sometime she talks to them for long periods I don't know what she is always telling B & J but they seem to understand :)

Adelynn didn't want to sit still to eat so this is a picture of her eating on the go.

JJ & Addie...do you know how hard it is to get kids to sit and all smile and look at the camera at the same time?

Arturo Birthday Party

Arturo is one of Adelynn's friend from MOPS. He had his birthday party at one of Adelynn's favorite places Museum of Nature and Science- Children's museum. It was fun to watch Addie play with other kids and explore.

Wordless Wednesday

Kids bedroom

We are moving Adelynn to a new room and to a twin bed. Which means I get to go shopping for new bedding for miss Addie and also for our little boy (still no name). I think we've decided let me know what you all think.

What are your thoughts on wall color????

As easy as 1...2...3!

I know the blog is usually about Adelynn but I wanted to share an amazing dish that is so easy to make even my mom could do it! (and if you know my mom, you know it has to be easy) This is great for any busy cook it takes no time at all and everyone will be impressed!

This is a Craig approved recipe- He is VERY picky!

MOPS Brisket
(I got the recipe from my MOPS friends)

ingredients
1 brisket- I just get one that will fit my crock pot
2 cans of rotel
1 package of french onion soup mix

1- put brisket in crock pot.
2- open cans and soup mix and dump on top
3- set crock pot to low and let cook all day

We eat this with tortillas, cheese, rice, and other taco fixins. Craig would eat this everyday! Let me know if you try it, and how much you love it!

A decade in review

I know that it has been 2010 for over a week, so this is late, however this past week I've thought about all the amazing things that I've seen or done in the past 10 years. So here is 10 years of Heather.

2000
I graduated from college thats about all I really remember :(

2001-2002
The only pictures I have from these years are from my mission trip.
I travel with Book of Hope to Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Germany, Spain, Portugal, India, and Bahamas. I got to tell students about Jesus and how he is my best friend and Savior. I also met and fell in love with Craig. What a year!Craig and I met in Florida during training....however I don't really remember him. I swear he joined our group while we were in Slovakia.

After traveling I got a job teaching 3rd grade in Port Hueneme and Craig started his junior year at John Born University. We got engaged September 12, 2002 at my house in California.

This was the last year I worked for the Rose Parade and to cap it off I got to ride a float. I know I have pictures of this they just aren't on a computer.

In a castle somewhere in Poland.

Wasting time on a train....we spent a lot of time on trains ;)

I think Craig ate ice cream everyday!

The birth of our first baby- Adelynn Mae Wilson- December 1, 2007- 7lbs. 8oz.

2008-
A lot changed this year! We moved to Dallas to be closer to family and so I could stay home with miss Addie Mae. We headed to D-town as soon as my school got out. We lived with David and Vicki for 6 months. Our house sold quickly but we couldn't find a house we liked. I lived at the lake house for 3 long months.
5th Anniversary cruise Key West plus other stops.

My first trip to Disney World for my 30th birthday. I got to go with my wonderful sisters- I waited a long time for them...but it was worth the wait I love them both!

2009-
Fun year! I got to stay home with Adelynn and play all day while Daddy went to work. Addie was so much fun her 2nd year. She started to talk run, and explore even more then before. Her favorite things are going to the zoo, running, anything Disney (Mickey or Princess), coloring, talking/singing, and giving mommy and daddy big hugs.
We made 2 trips out to California one to see Scot Graduate from college/take cruise to Canada with my parents, the second trip was to see family and Mickey. We also took a cruise on the East coast to see the beautiful leaves! We did a lot of thing other than travel but at 4 in the morning that is all I can think of :)
Easter in the park!
