Zoo

Addie and I headed to the Dallas Zoo Thursday. We haven't been to the Dallas zoo since late April due to the hot weather but now that it's cooler I believe we will be going a lot. If you come to visit I promise I'll take you too!

"Hi Ducks!"

The ducks

BIG fish

The kids area at the zoo is great! They have two play areas and lots of hands on stuff.

Addie would point and say "Hi Cat!"

Addie worked on a puzzle in the a/c hands on house.

The zoo had a craft for us to work on. Can you tell who sponsored it?

Wordless Wednesday

I know I'm late!

A day at the races and Dumas

A DAY AT THE LOUISIANA DOWNS

Every year the Wilson group heads to Louisiana Downs for Grandpa Skip's (David's dad) birthday and a day with the horses. Adelynn got to play with some cousins around her age and with her almost teenage cousins Brooke and Rachel. Everyone helped take care of Adelynn which made my day very enjoyable.
Adelynn woke up at 4:30 Saturday morning. We were hoping she would fall asleep in the car....and she finally did 10 minutes before we got there!!!!!

Waiting for the fun and lunch
Eating with cousin Nate (1 month older than Adelynn). Nate and Addie shared there fries with each other very nicely.
Mother like Daughter!
loves ketchup

Showing cousin Molly how to get away from the parents. To bad Do-Dad was waiting for them at the top :0)

Uncle Luke taking Adelynn for a walk outside.

Loving Aunt Teri

Picture time with Grandpa Skip didn't go so well.

DUMAS
Saturday night after the races we headed to Dumas to visit another Grandpa, 91 year old Grandpa Herman (David's step-dad). We spent Sunday with our Dumas family and had a blast watching Adelynn and cousin Parker (11 days younger then Addie) They were non-stop all day!

The dancing bear/mouse whatever made Parker cry so Addie continued to play it for him.... isn't she nice :)

Adelynn tried to teach Parker how to play the piano

Adelynn found out quickly that Grandpa Herman's cabinets were not locked like hers at home.
CHEEEEESEEEE!!!!!

Getting some love from Uncle Luke

Stacking blocks! GO HOGS!!!!

Running always Running

Watching a DVD in the car on our 6 hour trip home.

I fed Adelynn all day in the car trying to keep her happy. I gave her a banana big mistake! HUGE mistake! won't happen again!

Lake house fun!

We went to the lake house Friday and Saturday for a little fun! As soon as we got there we unpacked and hit the water!

Addie looking outside wondering- I'm in my suit and I have sunblock on why aren't I outside!
Daddy and Addie before going in the water
Addie held Daddy's hand for about 10 seconds!
The water wasn't too deep so Adelynn could go out pretty far.
Not to sure about the sand!

Time to come in!

We were going to go for a ride on the golf cart but the battery was dead. So Addie just pretended that we took a ride.
We went to the Frank Buck Zoo in Gainsville. We were the first guest Saturday morning. It was great because all the animals were up and moving. We got to see the buffalo, goat and cow eating breakfast.
Adelynn wasn't afraid of the goats on this trip.

Addie kept saying- "Hi Giraffe!"

Adelynn found this cooler and decided that it was a great thing to play- Don't worry grandma we won't let her play with the cooler by herself ;)
Great trip- Short trip- looking forward to our next weekend at lake kiowa

cookies

Addie and I decorated cookies today. She really liked eating the sugar cookie dough and liking the icing. Unfortunately her cookies didn't turn out too well :) Maybe next time Adelynn will have a finished product to show you!

Eating the cookie dough

Using the cookie cutter to cut out stars *

Eating the icing- instead of putting them on her cookie

Please notice that I gave her only 2 cookies and only a little bowl of WHITE icing :)
Mommy didn't want the dogs fat and her face green.

Somehow more icing ended up on her face and bib then on the cookies
