The family was suppose to go visit friends in Siloam Springs for Labor day. As we pulled out of our drive way Addie threw up. We went back into the house cleaned Addie and the car up. Adelynn told us she felt fine and that she wanted to go. So we loaded up the car again and were off. Just before the Oklahoma border Addie threw up again. So we turned around and went home. With in an hour Addie was feeling great and wanted to know what adventures we had planned for her and Asher.
Friday I took the kids to the zoo it was only 95 when we got there! This was the first trip to the zoo since last May so it was all new to Asher. Our first stop was the cafe to get a drink and check out the lions
Addie checking out the new baby giraffe Jamie
Asher finally got to get out of the stroller - Do you think he's happy?
The first stop at the petting zoo was the duck pond. One of the words Asher can say is duck.
I think Asher thought the ducks were the coolest thing at the zoo.
Our last stop was the yellow discovery house. This is Addie's favorite places at the zoo because the always have a craft on the back porch.
Asher didn't work on a craft he worked on climbing skills.
After the zoo on Friday we headed up to the lake for some family time.
First thing Saturday morning we all got dressed to go swimming, but when we got down to the lake it was REALLY low. Addie looked out and said "it's dirty and smells, I don't want to go in."
So the kids played with the cooler filled with water and we had lunch outside.
After lunch the kids cooled off with an icee treat.
After quite time we went to the front yard for some play time.
It was getting a little too warm outside we all came in for some creative time. Daddy played the guitar and Addie colored. Asher tried to color too but the crayons kept ending up in his mouth.
We left the lake Sunday morning so we could make it back for church. We were sad we didn't make it to Siloam but we did have a great labor day weekend.
