We had a full weekend. It was Craig's Friday off but he decided to take a class instead of spending time with his girls. So we went to our Friend Katy's house for a playdate. Lots of fun! The kids shared really well, only one fight broke out over toys, both of the girls wanted to play with the stroller. Adelynn is learning to share SLOWLY!
Saturday we headed up to Lake Kiowa for some Father's day fun. Adelynn wanted to go out on the boat so Uncle Matt took her. Catherine, Vicki, Sophie (vic's dog), and I went along also. Adelynn has no fear! She started walking around and hanging off the side. She really wanted to jump in but we thought it was best that she went swimming near the house and the not in the middle of the lake. Uncle Matt also let Adelynn "drive". When she started "driving" she notice something bright orange! The key chain. This was the best thing to play with (in her mind) We couldn't keep her away from it. After several minutes of trying to convince her that taking the key out of the ignition wasn't a good idea we decided it was time to get her out of the boat and back on dry land.
Once we were ashore Adelynn was forced to go swimming. She wasn't to sure about the lake- You never know what might be lurking in the water- fish, turtles, ducks, or even snakes! But once we got her in past her ankles she was hooked! Playing in the water is her new favorite past time. I also enjoy her playing in the water because water + sun equals looooonnnnnnggggg nap! She was wiped from her boating and swimming expedition. Which was great for me because that meant I got to join a 3 hour game of Settlers of Catan- A Wilson Favorite!!
Sunday came and went with time in the lake and only one game of Robo Rally and now we are back home in Dallas enjoying the 100 degree weather :) I hope you all have a great week!
