Addie and I took a girls trip to meet up with my parents in Cord D Alene, Id.
One of the best things about meeting up with my parents in CDA was that my best friend from childhood now lives there so we got to visit with Kindra and her family also!
Saturday was a long day filled with lots of activities.
We went to the framers market with Grandma and PaPa to look for berries for Addie.
We didn't really find many berries at the market but we did find a face painter!
Addie asked if the artist would paint a butterfly on her arm so she could see it.
Adelynn's finished product! I think this was one of the best Addie has gotten!
After the farmers market we met up with my best friend Kindra and her family. Cord D'Alene had a big art show and street fair going on that weekend.
Kindra's husband Jeff was a part of Art on the Green ( art show).

Grandma bought Addie a book called Mudgy and Millie. It is about a moose and mouse playing hide-n-seek all over CDA.
The city has 6 sculptures throughout town in conjunction with the book. We read Adelynn the book Saturday morning and while we walk all over town we found a couple of the sculptures.
After our fun downtown we headed back to the grandparents R.V. Park for a swim and a BBQ
(for non-California people a BBQ is a cookout or grilling of burgers :)

Sunday we all slept in and than headed into town for a pirate cruise.
We took many pictures while we waited for the boat.
The pirate cruise was great! When we got on board the kids got pirate bandannas and pirate jewelry.
The pirates sang and danced for the kids and put on a great show.
The even let the kids get up and dance and sing!

Once the crew found their treasure they shared it with the kids- notice Addie's new eye patch and sword!
If you are ever in CDA with a little one make sure to go on the pirate cruise it was the best!

Sunday night we all went out for dinner and an amazing sundae with Kindra and her family.

Addie and I had a great time visiting Idaho, our next visit will have to be longer and with our entire family!
